Larson Building is seeking a Project Manager with 5 years commercial construction experience to join our growing team.

As a Project Manager you are responsible for leading and directing the project team and developing relationships with all project stakeholders. You will oversee and manage all activities of the project including client and contract requirements, planning, scheduling, and evaluating project scope and completing proposals, costs and budgets. An important part of this position is ensuring project objectives are accomplished within predetermined timelines and funding parameters.
RESPONSIBLILITES

  • Provide leadership for multiple construction projects from preliminary budgeting, through final design, permitting, construction and project closeout.
  • Reviews project proposal plans and specifications to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Manage client interface and stakeholder interactions, negotiate solutions to arising needs.
  • Manage the financial process and outcome of projects.
  • Execute change orders.
  • Functions as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative.
  • Lead and mentor Job Superintendent and other project team members and Interns.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primary contact with owners, architects / engineers, inspection services for all day-to-day project site
    activities.
  • Oversee and coordinate all subcontractors in the performance of their assigned work, assuring quality
    workmanship, and monitory of quality control measures.
  • Ensure and enforce that all safety protocols are followed daily on the project, conduct safety meetings /
    orientations, and to perform weekly toolbox talks.
  • Maintain project schedule and work within budget.
  • Participate in progress meetings with the project team, owners, and design team.
  • Compile complete and accurate project documentation, to include, daily logs, RFI’s, inspection reporting,
    safety logs / reports, material delivery reports, and permits.
  • Understand the full-scale of all subcontractor scope.
  • Manage the punch-list and closeout process through owner/architect acceptance.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material
    installation instructions, and engineering/architectural drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to positively interact with coworkers,
    subcontractors, owners, and owners’ representatives.
  • Thorough knowledge of all trades. 
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Experience working as a commercial job superintendent.
  • Construction management degree preferred.
